A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a key role in developing competitive, innovative, and technically sound proposals for utility-scale renewable energy projects. Working closely with Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Construction, and Project Management, you'll develop conceptual electrical solutions that help bring projects from early opportunity through contract award.
A typical day may involve reviewing Owner RFPs, evaluating electrical designs, coordinating with Engineers of Record (EOR), utilities, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders, while preparing estimates for collection systems, substations, underground cable systems, utility interconnections, SCADA, protection and control systems, and other electrical infrastructure. You'll identify technical risks, evaluate constructability, develop value engineering solutions, and help position projects for successful execution.
