Our client, the global IT services company is hiring for the Sr. Mainframe Storage/Tape Engineer position. This is a permanent, full-time, 100% remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily Storage management activities relating to SMS routines, DASD pools monitoring housekeeping batch jobs and on-call support
- Troubleshoot basic space issues, perform migrate and archive functions
- Implement routine storage-type changes relating to client requests to add or move volumes
- Troubleshoot JCL errors and resolve them
- Create and maintain core system backups
